hello. pictured to the left is the man i love when we went to target a couple weeks ago. he's not actually a monkey. and here's what i'm thankful for today! i am thankful... for, well, let's start it off with that monkey. i love him. i love him so much. engagement is weird and i've never been engaged before, but i gotta say, i'm glad i get to navigate the journey leading up to becoming one with someone, with him. i'm real glad it's him. he's the most gracious and affirming person i could've been given. for cereal. really. cereal's good! i like cereal. for today being friday. friday is my favorite day of the week! for bein around my parents so much because i live with them. i'm really trying to savor it because i know it will end so soon and i'll never have time like this again. for such CUTE kids to work with. don't get me wrong, they're real stinkers, but they're CUTE and i truly do love those nuggets. one of em in particular was really fun to work with today and really smiley. for things like heat in the car, coffee, fuzzy socks, time to get some of my lead work done this morning, a cozy bed, crisp fall air, God's word accessible to me. things like that feel basic, but each of those things make my life better and are undeserved, so. oh! for the things i heard from my audiobook, the meaning of marriage by tim keller this morning. i have a feeling i'm going to repeat myself a lot throughout this month. oh man, it was so good the way he talked about how we change, specifically in relationship with other people (forgiveness and generosity and sacrifice), when the LORD is at work in us and we realize how much He loves us and fills us. it was beautiful. as always, thanks for checkin in, friends! all i have needed Thy hand has provided. (and then some, huh?!) see ya tomorrow! |
